Pure Power for Prius (Part 2)

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Several months ago Pure Power was fortunate to be selected to power 15 new Plug-In Prius cars at a demonstration event for fleet managers. This past weekend Pure Power and Prius met again, this time at the “10 Years of Toyota Prius Anniversary Celebration” held at an estate in Malibu, California.

The catered event for about 200 people featured music by M. Ward, food by Outstanding in the Field, and the sponsorship of Wired Magazine, SHFT, Reverb and Eric Lloyd Wright.

As we have on a bushel of events over the past two years we were proud to have partnered with our good friends at Sustainable Waves. They’re simply the best in the business when it comes to sustainable power for events – check them out!

Environmental Media Association Features Hybrid Base Camps in Newsletter

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Just received our latest issue of the EMA Spring 2010 Newsletter, and were pleased to see our Hybrid Solar Base Camp mentioned as providing clean power for a Warner Bros. production. EMA – The Environmental Media Association – mobilizes the entertainment industry in educating people about environmental issues, which in turn, inspires them to take action.

Pure Power readers will recall that we provided a Hybrid Mobile Solar Power System(TM) to the production of “Valentine’s Day” (Garry Marshall directed, with Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Ashton Kutcher, Shirley MacLaine among the host of mega-stars) . The Hybrid Base Camp consisted of Solar Generators – Hybrid S10 Mobile Solar Power Systems(TM) working alongside Solar Star Waggons(TM) – all working together to avoid a ton of carbon dioxide per day, as well as daily doses of the 40 other carcinogens found in diesel exhaust.

Right now, Pure Power is back at the movies, providing Warner Bros. with the world’s largest Mobile Solar Power System – our 600 Amp/72,000 watt S48 unit is currently powering the base camp of Steve Carell’s current feature production. Everyone working on the production likes that solar systems are silent, and produce no exhaust or smell. Just good clean power!

Steve Carell, the hilarious star of “The 40-Year Old Virgin” and “The Office” now has a new title: “really green comedic actor”. This is because the base camp of his new feature Warner Bros. film project is being solar-powered by the world’s largest Mobile Solar Power System™.

The really powerful solar generator – the S48T designed by Pure Power Distribution – was recently seen powering the base camp of the Leo DiCaprio (“really green serious actor”) starrer “Inception” – so you know this solar system has chops.

What does the world’s largest Mobile Solar Power System do all day? Well, it looks incredibly cool, with moveable solar panels that can track the sun, and then fold down for transport. But even in Hollywood, looking cool is not as important as being cool: the S48T produces 600 Amps of pure sine wave power with no noise, and no emissions – keeping about a ton of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere each day – along with the other 40 carcinogens found in diesel exhaust.

LA Marathon Hails Vets with Mobile Solar-Powered Stage

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

March 21, 2010 – More than 25,000 people witnessed 1940’s music powered by 21st century technology, as a Hybrid Mobile Solar Power System™ was used to power the US Veterans Administration’s entertainment stage at the VA Hospital in Westwood.

As the racers coursed through the Veteran’s Administration in Westwood at Mile 21, they were energized by a host of talented singers and dancers – whose instruments, mikes and amplifiers were powered by a clean, quiet portable solar generator.

The racers, families, war veterans and fans enjoyed the music, and weren’t bothered by the noise, exhaust and smell of diesel generators typically used for such live events.

It is believed to be the first mobile solar powered venue in the 25-year history of the LA Marathon.

“The US Veterans Administration does noble work and we are proud to be a part of their day,” said Norris Lozano, CEO of Pure Power. “We were thrilled to be surrounded by the talent on the stage, war heroes in the audience, and courageous athletes on the street. It was a great day!”

Pure Power Distribution (www.PurePowerD.com) used a “Hybrid S10” Mobile Solar Power System™ to power 7 high-energy acts throughout the 8-hour day. Sound checks started at 7am, but because of the intense Southern California sun and the Hybrid S10’s solar capture ability and deep cycle batteries, the Solar System actually ended the 8 hour work day with more energy in its batteries than when it started.

It was Pure Power’s first live stage show with The Show Pros/Laguna Creative (www.TheShowPros.com) – the first of many, if today’s success is any indication.

“At a time when the United States is involved in two foreign wars, we at Pure Power are especially proud to support the US Veterans Association with solar power,” said Norris Lozano, CEO of Pure Power. “And we sincerely admire the 25,000 athletes that are going to run the race.”

Pure Power Builds Its Most Powerful Mobile Solar Power System™ to date

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Pure Power Distribution of Santa Monica, California (www.PurePowerD.com) has announced that it has designed and built its most powerful Mobile Solar Power System™ to date, the S-48T, in time to provide power for some of the current filming of the latest Warner Bros. film. The S-48T provides 600 Amps of clean solar power for 12 hours, enough to power the entire base camp.

“This is a huge day for renewable energy,” said Norris Lozano, CEO of Pure Power, “There are very few work environments that need as much power as feature films, and this new unit can deliver 600 Amps (72,000 Watts) with a single driver/operator.”

Avoiding a ton a day of CO2

Pure Power’s customers care deeply about reducing the carbon footprint of their projects. Over a 50 day shoot, a solar system can avoid 50 tons of CO2 by not using traditional portable diesel generators.  Solar generated power can cut the CO2 output by 90%.

The S-48T measures 48 feet in length; needs a single driver/operator, and can provide feature films, TV productions, music performances and special events with silent, clean energy with no emissions. It can be plugged into the base camp system in cases of extreme load.
