Pure Power for Prius (Part 2)

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Several months ago Pure Power was fortunate to be selected to power 15 new Plug-In Prius cars at a demonstration event for fleet managers. This past weekend Pure Power and Prius met again, this time at the “10 Years of Toyota Prius Anniversary Celebration” held at an estate in Malibu, California.

The catered event for about 200 people featured music by M. Ward, food by Outstanding in the Field, and the sponsorship of Wired Magazine, SHFT, Reverb and Eric Lloyd Wright.

As we have on a bushel of events over the past two years we were proud to have partnered with our good friends at Sustainable Waves. They’re simply the best in the business when it comes to sustainable power for events – check them out!

Mobile Solar Power System… Mobile Solar Power System… Mobile Solar Charging Station!

Pure Power for Tesla

We’ve been saying for a long time that there’s a natural synergy with electric or hybrid vehicles and our Mobile Solar Power System.

Last month we were proud to have provided Systems to recharge 15 Plug-In Prius(R) at a Toyota event in Orange County, California.

Here, we provided a System that’s charging Tesla’s in Seattle.

This is just one of the myriad ways users are deploying Mobile Solar Power Systems today.

Next up: the Mobile Solar Microgrid.

Toyota’s new plug-in Prius gets Pure PowerD

Monday, June 21st, 2010

We were proud to support IgnitedUSA last week in providing pure power to a fleet of 15 new plug-in Prius vehicles for Toyota.

The event, held under seasonably overcast Southern California skies (aka “June Gloom”) required each Hybrid S10 Mobile Solar Power Systems to recharge 5 Prius for fleet managers to view, assess and test-drive, over a period of 2 days.

Did we say Overcast? Not so fast: what seems to most to be overcast skies looks positively bright to a solar panel, and our Hybrid S10s calmly and quietly recharged the Prius (Priuses? Prii?) easy-as-you-please.

Pure Power sent a driver/operator skilled in both the navigational and power-providing arts to ensure that all the vehicles were properly charged and ready to go. Mission accomplished – and wouldn’t you agree, there’s something poetic about the vision of 15 Prius cars being charged with pure solar power?

Toyota, when you hold your next plug-in Prius rally, we are expecting a call for more pure power.
