Pure Power has had a Hybrid S10 Mobile Solar Power System(TM) on Criminal Minds for some time now – it’s used to provide a portion of the power for base camp of the Emmy-nominated show.
Just today, Smashbox Studios posted an interview with the show’s director, Howard Griffith, ontheir uber-cool culture blog Yello! .
The non-nonsense producer talked about using a Mobile Solar Power System on Criminal Minds, saying “I’m very excited about this technology,” and “We want to get more green power.”
After reading Griffith’s enthusiastic quotes, Pure Power CEO Norris Lozano said, “We can make that happen!”
When we provided mobile solar power for the base camp of Warner Bros. production of “Valentine’s Day” last summer, we were pleased to have accomplished the landmark of powering an entire base camp of a major motion picture. We believe we are the first to have provided that level of mobile solar power to a Hollywood production, and that Warner Bros. is doing important work
in this area of sustainable production.
Our readers should check out the article in today’s Los Angeles Times, an article describing Warner Bros. efforts toward sustainable production outlines their multi-faceted approach, led by Jonny Romano.
Pure Power Distribution has announced it is a sponsor of the 2009 Environmental Media Association (EMA) Awards. Pure Power is listed on EMA’s “Green Links” as a featured provider of solar power (Mobile Solar Power Systems(TM) to the entertainment industry. The mobile solar systems are also EMA Green Seal certified.
“Pure Power applauds and supports the great work EMA does in helping entertainment companies understand their CO2 impacts and green their productions by enhancing their use of cleaner energy,” said Scott Chaplan, Executive Chair of Pure Power. “Using solar power instead of diesel provides financial, social and environmental benefits by providing a significant reduction in CO2 which released in communities in which these productions operate,” added Norris Lozano, CEO of Pure Power.
