The Boy Scouts of America are celebrating their 100 year Anniversary this year, and Pure Power is providing clean solar power to a weekend encampment in a woodland area near Whittier, California May 21-23. Hundreds of scouts and their fathers are encamped for the weekend’s festivities south of Los Angeles.

Boy Scouts celebrate their 100th year
Pure Power has provided a Hybrid S10 Mobile Solar Power System(TM) (mobile solar generator) which is capable of providing 18 kW of clean solar power. The great thing about this System – operating in this wild environment - is that the solar generator produces no noise, and none of the toxic emissions that are associated with diesel exhaust.
The Boy Scouts’ view of the sky above the campground will remain pristine because the solar generator doesn’t emit soot when providing pure solar power.
Remarkably, the Hybrid System will be providing power to a night-time event. If the load from the lights and sound equipment depletes the energy in the solar batteries, the Hybrid S10 has the capability to automatically activate is onboard Tier 4 biodiesel generator.
What’s the big news about “Tier 4?” First, this Tier 4 generator is among the first on the market – it’s a cutting edge to provide remote power in the cleanest way available when a diesel generator is needed. And, when running B20, the Tier 4 generator produces 93% less soot than a traditional Tier 1 generator.
