Wading through the massive amount of information on solar power generation can be daunting, but we felt it is important to make an important distinction in our vocabulary.
When Pure Power talks/writes/communicates about “mobile solar power” generically or our product, Mobile Solar Power Systems(TM), in using “mobile” we mean large-scale solar power generators that are designed to be an alternative to moveable diesel generators. “Mobile solar” means the big guys that can run your movie base camp, centrifugal or submersible water pump, construction project or emergency/disaster site.
When we see the words “portable solar”, we take this to mean smaller-output solar power devices such as those used to recharge cell phones, laptops, music players, etc.
Both of these types of solar equipment represent targeted and specific approaches to distributed power – both are essential to utilizing plentiful renewable energy resources and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
